Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for your Web Server
Creating Your Key and Certificate Request
In order to apply for your own SSL certificate, you must be a Virtual Server or Dedicated Server customer. The process is simple, but each detail must be followed in order.

Overview:

  • Use below form to request a Certificate Request (CSR)
    >> Enter & Submit company information to We-Host
    >> A CSR is generated and emailed to you in a TEXT format
  • Apply to Thawte, Verisign or other Certificate Authority (CA)
  • Email the information back to us (in TEXT format) and we'll install the certificate

Time:

  • Requests for CSR's generally take 5 working days for We-Host
  • Submission and verification to a CA may take 1-2 weeks.
  • Installation of completed Certificate takes 48 working hours

This will appear on the certificate.
Changes will require the purchase of a new certificate

Server Host Name mydomain.com or domain name for which the SSL is being generated.
Administrators Email Address The technical person for the web site.
