Transferring Your Domain to We-Host
Processing your request with InterNIC or other NIC entity
The process for transferring a domain to We-Host is simple, but requires a few specific steps to be followed.

Notes: If you are requesting a transfer of .com, .net, .org domains, you may request it at any time previous to your order processing with us. However, certain country domains require the transfer to take place only after we have added the domain to the zone files on our Domain Name Servers (DNS). Failure to request us to add the domain to our DNS will result in errors with the country NIC and will therefore delay your processing with them.

  • If you request a domain name transfer, and you are listed as the current administrative, technical or billing contact, and your email address information is correct, the process will be started for you as soon as you place an order with us.
  • If you are the owner of the domain, but you are not listed as an administrative or technical contact, you may not request the transfer to take place via email, as InterNIC will refuse it to take place. You must follow steps 1, 2, 3, 4 from below list.
  • If your registered email address is no longer active, the following must take place:
  1. You or We-Host must submit a transfer request, thus resulting in a NIC tracking number.
  2. The NIC tracking number is entered onto the form Transfer Form which you will print out and draft on company letterhead.
  3. This form is faxed to InterNIC (numbers on form) and to us for follow-up.
  4. InterNIC will process the fax request usually within 5 days.
